What works?

We hear a lot about faith, believing and hope but when the chips are down what we desire most of all is something that works.

When someone tells us to repeat a certain prayer or plant a seed, we do this and nothing happens, it weakens our faith.

People suffering from divorce, job loss, death or some other devastating defeat have one thing in common, they need help, real verifiable help.

I was raised the son of a Nazarene minister, spent most of my adult life as a member of the first Baptist church. I heard a lot of teachings about the Holy Spirit but when the chips were down, nothing I did seem to work.

I did find help. It was by way of the Holy Spirit but it was quite different than I had been taught.

John 14:16-18 The promised Holy Spirit will comfort you.

Reprogramming

Just like a computer we have a hard drive “our brain.” Sometimes it needs defragmenting which puts our scattered thoughts and emotions back in perspective.

Sometimes our brain needs a scandisk which finds the bad segments (evil) marks them as such, then excludes them from our thought patterns.

In more severe cases our brain has too many corrupted files for defragment or scandisk to do any good. In this case need to reformat, wipe it all clean and reinstall a fresh clean operating system.

How do we defrag, scandisk or re-format? By way of the Holy Spirit. Problem is if you are in a depressed or corrupted state of mind, you may not have a good connection with the great re-programmer.
